TERMS & CONDITIONS:

 

POOH TREK

Pooh Trek and other featured Tours are operated by GEM Consultancy (Travel & Tourism). Subject to availability we will endeavour to place you on the Pooh Trek or other Tour of your choice.

BOOKINGS

You may book (1) online via our website at www.pooktrek.com or (2) request a booking by completing and returning our Enquiry Form to info@poohtrek.com. Bookings will not be confirmed until you have paid either the deposit or (if less than 28 days before your booking) the full advertised price of the Tour, and have received our written confirmation.

PAYMENT

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the advertised price,or full payment if your booking request is less than 28 days prior to the tour date should be made in order to proceed with your request to book. Upon receipt/clearance of your deposit your Pooh Trek tour will be confirmed by us and our contract made. Secure online payment is processed by Checkfront (via PayPal) accepting Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards, or by direct transfer to our bank account - details of which will be supplied on request. The balance of the tour price must be paid as cleared funds at least twenty eight (28) days before your Pooh Trek tour, using our secure online payment facilities or by bank transfer. Subject to date(s) being available we may accept last minute bookings up to forty eight (48) hours before your chosen Pooh Trek, in which case payment of the full and non-refundable tour price must be made immediately.

PRICE

The Price for each Tour advertised is per tour, up to the maximum number of participants shown. In the event of a reduction in the number of participants on the date of the tour, this will not alter the Price of the tour, nor entitle you to a refund or reduction in price.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

If circumstances require we reserve the right to make minor change(s) to the date and/or time/itinerary of your chosen Pooh Trek. If we do we will notify you as soon as possible. In the case where an alternative date that has been previously confirmed by us is not acceptable to you, you shall be entitled to a full refund in £ Sterling of all monies paid to us. If you need to cancel your tour, our refund policy is as follows:- - up to and including 28 days prior to the date of your confirmed tour: loss of 20% deposit - 27 days or less prior to the date of your confirmed tour: non-refundable. The date of cancellation shall be the date on which we receive your written cancellation by email, for and on behalf of all participants. NO SHOW: in the event that you do not arrive for the tour at the prearranged time and meeting place, we reserve the right to charge and retain the full cost of the tour.

TRANSPORT

Please note that the cost of and purchasing your return rail ticket or making other transport arrangements (from London or elsewhere) to the start point of your tour in Sussex is your responsibility, but remember too that we are here to help you with your planning - so write to us at info@poohtrek.com if you have any questions. Also we recommend you visit www.southernrailway.com , the train operating company from London Victoria and London Bridge down to East Sussex, for train time-tables and schedules, and best priced tickets - then on the day of your tour we'll arrange everything else. We'll meet and welcome you with coffee, tea or a cold drink at East Grinstead or Crowborough station at 10:30am on the morning of your Pooh Trek, unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing. This allows you to travel out of London during off-peak times, (after 09:30am) when trains are generally uncrowded - plus ticket prices are significantly less expensive than during “peak” times.

WHAT TO WEAR

Remember that for part of your Tour you'll be "exploring" the great outdoors and walking the wonderful landscapes of Ashdown Forest as you follow in the footsteps of Pooh; so please dress comfortably, casually, and appropriate to the weather that's forecast for the day of your Tour. Sturdy and comfortable footwear is especially recommended (no open-toed sandals or high heels for ladies!), and perhaps a small rucksack for personal belongings, camera, sun-screen, and for carrying Pooh Sticks - which we'll provide on the day.
