The vehicle is attended and a secure place to leave personal belongings while you explore the sites.
Pooh Trek offers you...
Leave only footprints, take only memories
(and lots of photos)…
So, what are you waiting for – join us on a Pooh Trek adventure or Ashdown Forest Tour soon!
I’m Gerry, one of the Co-Founders and also Head Guide at Pooh Trek and Ashdown Forest Tours. I grew up listening to A.A. Milne’s stories and adventures about Winnie-the-Pooh, and a generation on was delighted to pass on these same timeless tales to our own 4 children.
I’ve been fortunate to live close to Ashdown Forest and the High Weald since 1987, and have walked and explored the heathland and woodlands of Ashdown’s incredible 6,500 acres. It’s a cliché, but accurate to say that very few consecutive days on the Forest are entirely the same.
Whether you’re young, or young-at-heart, or just an avid fan of the world’s most famous bear, we go the extra mile to ensure your family and friends get the best out of your ‘Expotition’ re-tracing Pooh’s footprints in Ashdown Forest. We recognise this may well be your first visit to this very special and protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the South of England. Click here for further information: Ashdown Forest AONB
Our Mission…. Is for our Guests to boldly go (not simply to Trek!), to explore and have fun in the Forest during their Pooh Pilgrimage, for children especially to learn more about this unique, ancient and magical place - and along-the-way to discover for themselves the REAL world of Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh and their friends.
Our guides take responsibility for making your day in Ashdown Forest and the other venues and destinations you visit to be fun, current, and informative. Each tour we operate is private and conducted in a private hire licensed vehicle, solely for your family or group.
If you’re an international guest and putting the finishing touches to your itinerary for a forthcoming trip or family vacation to London, we’ll take it as read you’re already a fan of Winnie-the-Pooh! Or maybe you’re already in the UK searching for inspiration for a “different” day away from our incredible yet sometimes noisy Capital city?
As you’ll see from the map below, by direct train from central London, you’re less than an hour from the Sussex country town of East Grinstead, and only a little further from Crowborough (the home town of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame… but that’s another story)! So rather than waste precious time sitting in London traffic, to make the most of your day in Sussex we recommend you let the train take the strain from either London Victoria or London Bridge - depending in which area of London you’re staying.
Remember, you’re as little as an hour from London by direct train service. We’ll meet you off the train at your arrival station with drinks and refreshments – and then, your adventure truly begins!

Please note that you are responsible for the cost of, and purchasing your return train ticket to the start point of your tour, however we are happy to provide help with information if you have any questions.
We recommend you visit www.southernrailway.com the train operating company from London Victoria and London Bridge, and once you arrive off the train we will organise everything else.
We’ll meet you at East Grinstead or Crowborough station at around 10:45am on the day of your Pooh Trek, unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing. This allows you to travel out of London at off-peak times, (after 09:30 daily) when trains are often less busy and fares significantly better value than at “peak” times.
